Ally Mark

Associate

Ally is a born and bred California girl, raised on countless hikes, beach trips, and cups of boba in the San Francisco Bay Area. After her mother insisted she get some perspective on real life, Ally moved to Chicago, where she earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in environmental engineering and minored in International Studies and Global/Ecological Health Engineering.

After bouncing around various internships, Ally settled in Minneapolis as a water resources engineer, where she discovered planning and public engagement. She found that these fields united her interests in climate resiliency, justice and equity, and community work. Ally followed this newfound passion to Lotus where she is thrilled to focus on engaging communities, communicating complex issues, and supporting a just and equitable climate transition. Ally’s diverse skill set and background allow her to seamlessly hop between designing community or technical facilitations, synthesizing diverse inputs into strategic directions, and crafting public-facing plan narratives.

Based in Chicago, Ally spends her time walking the many neighborhoods, exploring cultural events, losing at bar trivia, and indulging in the City’s top notch dining scene.

Love isn’t about what we did yesterday; it’s about what we do today and tomorrow and the day after.
