Volunteering and Board Work

We encourage all of our employees to volunteer in the community that they love. Here are some examples of what we love and are honored to do.

New Energy Improvement District Board of Directors

Hillary currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Colorado New Energy Improvement District (NEID) which was formed by state statute to establish Colorado’s statewide Colorado Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing program for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water conservation upgrades on non-residential properties. NEID is governed by a Board of Directors that includes representatives from the Colorado Energy Office, the real estate development industry, banking, energy efficiency, and renewable energy industries and public utilities. For more information regarding C-PACE see: https://copace.com/

Coaching the Mighty Hammers

Hillary is lucky enough to support the coaching of the mighty Hammers soccer team (2013 birth year). It is her favorite thing.

Solar United Neighbors Colorado Advisory Board

Julia sits on the Advisory Board for Solar United Neighbors (SUN) Colorado Chapter, a non-profit organization whose mission is to expand access to rooftop solar energy across the state by helping people go solar, collaborate in their communities, and fight for energy rights. The Colorado Chapter of SUN is one of the newest in the country and has already developed multiple solar co-op models that have resulted in hundreds of kilowatts of installed capacity in the chapter’s first year of operation alone.

Sustainable Agriculture

Julia and her husband started a sustainable farm and have a booth at the Erie Farmer’s market every week. Check out more about the farm here: https://www.foxplotfarm.com/.

Pollution Prevention Advisory Board

Tom Herrod was appointed to Colorado's Pollution Prevention Advisory Board in 2022. The board develops pollution prevention goals and objectives; reviews environmental regulatory programs, laws and policies to identify opportunities and incentives; provides direction for pollution prevention outreach, education, training and technical assistance programs; and supports non-regulatory public and private efforts that promote pollution prevention. The board approves pollution prevention grants, as well as recycling grants and rebates.

Volunteer for the Climate Action Collaborative for the Eagle County Community
